• Fitness & Activity Data: When you connect your Garmin or Strava account, we receive data about your activities, including activity type (e.g., running, cycling), duration, distance, and timestamps.
• Location Data:
  • Activity Location: GPS paths associated with your synced activities.
  • Real-time Location: To capture "Pins," we access your device's precise location (GPS) while the app is in use to verify you are within 10 meters of a target location.
• Device Information: Technical data such as device model, operating system, and unique device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to facilitate gameplay:

• Calculating Battery Points: We convert your exercise duration (e.g., 10 points per minute) into in-game currency.
• Territorial Conquest: We use your GPS location to verify "Pin" captures and updates on the local map.
• Leaderboards: Your warrior avatar and conquest stats are displayed to other users in your local area to foster community competition.
• App Improvement: To troubleshoot technical issues and improve the "Warriors" experience.

3. Data Sharing and "No Sale" Policy

• No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal fitness or location data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
• Service Providers: We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting) who are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• Third-Party Integrations: Your fitness data is received via the Garmin Connect API and Strava API. We only access the data scopes you explicitly authorize during the OAuth 2.0 connection process.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption at rest and in transit (SSL/TLS), to protect your health and location data. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who need the information to perform specific gameplay or support tasks.

• Data Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your Local Warriors account and all associated data by contacting us on our website.
• Access: You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

Local Warriors is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions like the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
