Terms and Conditions for Local Warriors

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Local Warriors mobile application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Local Warriors is a location-based gaming platform that gamifies fitness activities by converting physical exercise into "Battery Points" used for territorial conquest.

2. Eligibility and Safety

• Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.
• Physical Safety: Local Warriors involves real-world physical activity. You agree that you are in good health to perform such activities. Never trespass, violate local laws, or put yourself in danger to reach a "Pin" or location.
• Assumption of Risk: You use the Service at your own risk. Local Warriors and its partners (including Garmin) are not liable for any physical injury, property damage, or legal issues arising from your real-world gameplay.

3. Data Integration (Garmin Connect & Strava)

• Integration: Local Warriors allows you to sync data from third-party platforms like Garmin Connect and Strava to earn Battery Points.
• OAuth 2.0: We use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols to connect to your Garmin account. We do not see or store your Garmin login credentials.
• Data Accuracy: Fitness data is provided "as-is." Neither Local Warriors nor Garmin guarantees the accuracy of GPS, heart rate, or activity data.
• Ownership: You retain ownership of your fitness data. We only use this data to calculate game mechanics (e.g., Battery Points).

4. Privacy and Data Security

• No Selling of Data: We do not sell your personal fitness or location data to third-party advertisers.
• Account Deletion: You may revoke Local Warriors' access to your Garmin data at any time through your Garmin Connect settings. You may also request the deletion of your Local Warriors account and all associated data via the app settings.
• Public Visibility: By capturing "Pins," your warrior avatar and conquest status may be visible to other players on the local map.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Use "GPS spoofing" or any automated bots to fake fitness activities or capture Pins.
• Harass, bully, or threaten other "Warriors" within the game.
• Reverse engineer any part of the Service or the Garmin/Strava APIs.

6. Intellectual Property

• "Local Warriors" and its logos are trademarks of [Your Company Name].
• "Garmin," "Garmin Connect," and "Strava" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here for integration purposes only.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Warriors and its data providers (Garmin, etc.) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our gameplay or API requirements. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of new terms.
